Eight out of ten of my students pass their cert on the first try.
Most other programs….
Roughly half the people who start don’t make it across the finish line.
Same industry.
Same exams.
Wildly different outcomes.
I’ve been in IT for over 20 years…..
I’ve watched people succeed and I’ve watched people fail, and after two decades I can tell you exactly why that gap exists.
What Passing Actually Looks Like
This isn’t a hypothetical.
Here’s a real student who just passed, name and candidate ID blurred for privacy
Simple Math
Picture ten people starting the exact same certification journey on the same day.
In my program, eight of them walk out certified.
In most other programs, five do.
That’s not a small difference.
When your career, your income, and your timeline are riding on the outcome, that difference is everything.
Why The Gap Exists
Most training programs hand you the material and wish you luck.
They assume you already know how to study, how to pace yourself, how to recover when you hit a wall, how to walk into an exam room and not freeze under the clock.
Most people don’t know how to do any of that.
Not because they’re not capable.
Because nobody ever taught them.
I spent years as a Staff Sergeant in the Army learning this lesson from watching structure turn people who didn’t believe in themselves, into people who absolutely could get the job done.
That experience shaped how I built this company from day one.
Inside my program, there’s a specific system built around exactly this problem.
I’m not going to walk you through the whole thing here, that’s a conversation for another time, but here’s what it does: it trains you to move through exam material the way someone who’s already done this a hundred times moves through it.
Fast recognition.
No second-guessing.
No running out of time on the last fifteen questions and guessing your way to a fail.
Combine that with real coaching when you hit a wall, a community that notices when you go quiet for a week, and a study path that tells you exactly what to do each day instead of leaving you to figure it out alone, and the math stops being complicated.
Structure is the entire reason certified people pass and everyone else doesn’t.
What This Means If You’re Deciding Right Now
If you’re currently weighing a cheaper, less structured option against one that costs a little more but has real support, I’d ask you to think about what the actual cost of failing looks like.
Not just the money.
The months lost.
The disappointment of explaining to the people counting on you why the plan didn’t work.
Eight out of ten is what happens when discipline gets engineered into a system instead of left up to willpower alone.
Your Turn
I want to hear from the people reading this who’ve been through a certification, any certification, in any field.
What actually made the difference for you?
Did you have structure and support, or did you go it alone?
What would you tell someone starting today to do it how you did?
Drop it in the comments.
Want to see what that structure actually looks like?
Whatever stage you’re at, whatever certification path fits your situation, it starts in the same place.
If this resonated, share it with someone who’s on the fence about a certification right now.
